Music artist Tamer Housny has decided to alter the name of his first TV drama from “Ibn Al Balad” (“Country Boy”) to “Adam”. The reason for this change that was cited by Tamer is that the name “Adam” is more appropriate with regards to the events that unfold in the drama. Moreover it is also more original. It is expected that Tamer will begin filming the series in the upcoming month of February after screenwriter Ahmed Abou Zeid completes writing the script for the work’s episodes. Performers Ahmed Zaher, Maged Al Masry, Karim Abou Zeid and Donia Fouad have recently joined the cast of the series, however, the female performer who will share the leading role with Tamer is yet to be chosen. The series is directed by Mohamed Sammy and attempts to dissect several important issues affecting Arab society in general and Egyptian society in particular. Moreover, the work also discusses the troubles and obstacles facing youths in Egypt as they try to make ends meet.
