Ghada ‘Adel launches the “Shubra TV” network

Actress Ghada ‘Adel has commenced shooting her role in a new sitcom titled “Subra TV”. The sitcom relates the story of a group of youths who launch a satellite network that discusses the families in the district of Shubra and their relations with one another over a period of decades and up to the outset of the January Revolt. The work also looks at their contributions to that uprising.The screenplay for the series was authored by the satirical writer ‘Amr Fahmy. The production is directed by Bilal Nasr and produced by Mohamed Bandar, moreover it features the talents of Haitham Mohamed, Medhat Teekha and Mohamed Nasr in addition to a group of new faces. The work also includes performances by a group of youths who had taken part in the revolution – their addition lends to the work a sort of documentary nature. “Shubra TV” is expected to air by next Ramadan.
