A source from within the producing company of “Monsieur Ramadan Mabrook Abou al-‘Alamein Hamouda” has revealed that artist Mohamed Heneidy has agreed in good spirits to a reduction of his salary by more than 7 million pounds for the completed series. The same source has stated to the “Fee al-Fan” website that the development comes after the company has tried to reduce spending due to the lack of stability following the revolution of the 25th of January. Moreover requests by more than one satellite channel for a reduction in the payments requested for the airing of the series on their channels has also contributed to the cuts. The crew had commenced shooting the series three months ago and had allocated to the production a preliminary budget that reached up to 60 million pounds. However filming was stopped following the outset of the revolution. Furthermore the turmoil prevalent amongst art circles necessitated a reduction of the budget so that filming could proceed. This has led Heneidy to agree to a reduction of his salary. The screenplay for the series was authored by Youssif Mu’atty. The work is directed by Sameh ‘Abd Al ‘Azeez and can be considered a continuation to the widely successful film presented by Heneidy about two years ago.
