Producer Mamdouh Shaheen and director Sa’ad Hendawy have taken the Syrian artist Bassel Khayat off the lead of the television series “Ahlam Mashbouha”. The series also features Egyptian artist Dalia al-Beheiry in a leading role. The step was taken due to the fact that Bassel was busy filming more than one drama work in Syria. This has made him unable to coordinate between filming those series in Syria and working on “Ahlam Mashbouha”. Despite the fact that those working on the series have been cleared of all other obligations the work is nonetheless at risk of not being ready in time for the holy month of Ramadan. The television series “Ahlam Mashbouha” features Dalia al-Beheiry, Ramy Wahid, Samira ‘Abd Al ‘Azeez and Ragaa al-Gadawy. The screenplay for the series was authored by Fidaa al-Shandawily and the work is produced by Mamdouh Shaheen and directed by Sa’ad Hendawy. It is noted that the most recent work which involved Dalia al-Beheiry was the series “Reesh Na’am” (“Ostrich Feathers”). The screenplay for that work was authored by Fidaa al-Shandawily and it was directed by Kheiry Bishara. Moreover the work featured Madelein Tabr, Zakky Fatteen ‘Abd Al Wahab and Nabil ‘Eissa in leading roles.
