Mariam Abu-‘Auf changes “Beebo and Besheer” to “Two rooms and a reception”

According to Rose al-Youssef newspaper, director Maha Abu-‘Auf decided to change the title of her upcoming film to be “Odtein we saala i.e. Two rooms and a reception” instead of “Beebo and Besheer”. Maha has finished the shooting and she is currently in the editing phase, she sees that the new title is more appropriate.The previous title has caused controversy announced a few months ago; it carries projections of the famous match in 2002, between football rivals Zamaalek and Ahly, before the filmmakers confirmed that the film has nothing to do with football. The film tells the story of an Afro-Egyptian young man “Besheer” who finds himself sharing an apartment with an Egyptian girl “Beebo”. It is scheduled to screen the film in summer, “Odtein we salaa” is written by Heshaam Maagued and starring Menna Shalaby, Aasser Yassen, Safeyya al-‘Emary and ‘Ezzat Abu-‘Auf.
