Singer Hameed El Shaeri compared the behavior of the 2 singers Amr Diab and Tamer Hosni towards the Egyptian revolution, preferring the silence of the first compared to the hesitancy and conflicting statements of the second.Hameed explained that he respects the silent attitude adopted by Diab as this shows that he was probably not yet certain of what the situation is and preferred to stay out of the spot lights. While, on the other hand he criticized Tamer Hosni’s attitude towards the revolution and specifically when he quoted him saying to the people in Tahrir “If you love Tamer Hosni go back to your homes” saying that in the history of any revolution , there is no such thing as the “revolution going home” with all due respect. Hameed adds that even though Tamer is his friend but he did not appreciate his conflicting attitude towards the revolution and said that maybe this is due to the fact that he was not able to assess the situation maturely enough. Tamer will quickly get out of that dilemma Hameed explains, because the people love singer Tamer Hosni, they will forget and forgive quickly.
