Script writer Ahmed Abdulla has started writing a script for a television series about the character of ex President Muamer El Ghaddafi, which will play during the upcoming Ramadan 2012 and actor Mohamed Saad will play Ghaddafi’s character, and will be directed by Wael Ihsaan. According to “Al Tahrir” newspaper, the idea came when Saad made a suggestion that involved portraying the character of Ghaddafi in a comical way, and at the same time giving Saad the opportunity to reach out to his audience through television not cinema only.Ghaddafi’s comments that were made in the past couple of months were viewed as “simply hilarious” by many Egyptians. Saad had signed a contract with Synergy last year but due to the multiple revolutions in the Arab world and the instability that came with it, the choice of work was not decided. Currently, Saad has made a decision to produce a television series that is considered a political comedy. It discusses all the political events that happened recently in the Middle East with a particular spot light on Ghaddafi’s character. Currently Saad is buying all the necessary clothes and accessories that will enable him to become a replica of Ghaddafi.
