In “Malemo” festival in Sweden the movie “Messages from the Sea” is the best movie and the best actor award goes to actor Asser Yassin

In the Malemo Cinema Festival in Sweden, the Egyptian movie “Messages from the Sea” for director Dawood Abdel Salam won best narrating movie with a unanimous vote, and actor Asser Yassin won the best actor’s award.The judging committee led by Palestinian director Mohamed Kabalawi, included Saad Hendawi, Khaled Abu El Naga, Salah Sarmeni, Deema Hamdela, Sanaa Bakali. The committee also awarded the other Egyptian movie participating in the festival “Two Girls from Egypt” a special award called “Audience Award” relating the award to the high reaction of the audience that took place during the movie. The documentary “18 Days in Egypt” also achieved an honorary certificate from the festival that was received by the movie’s directors Ahmed Salah and Ramadan Salah.News agencies around the world portrayed the excitement that filled the festival and the clapping and cheering when the final results were out that announced the names of the Egyptian movies. As for the rest of the awards, Lebanon had a fair share of them. Lebanese actress Julia Kassar was nominated best actor for her role in the movie “Shati Ya Deni”. This movie also achieved the Judges special award and was received by director Baheeg Hadad.
