The movie “Palm of the Moon” was scheduled for its release yesterday 19th of October, but director Khaled Youssef along with producing company Egypt Cinema decided to postpone the release till the 2nd of November due to the recent political event which led to the unfortunate death of more than 20 citizens, in the last 2 weeks. The producing company had initially planned for the movie to be released 2 weeks before Eid Al Adha to allow a different sector of the community to view it away from the season of Eid, since this season is normally all about teenagers and youth, and the movie’s events are quite dramatic so it will probably not attract this sector of the society. Nevertheless, the movie was postponed anyway. The movie portrays the last 30 years in Egypt with all its variables and changes the community went through, through the character called “Kamar” or “Moon” who is a widow supporting 5 children. The movie is written by Naser Abdel Rahman and directed by Khaled Youssef, and it is starring Wafaa Amer, Khaled Saleh, Ghada Abdel Razak, Jumana Mourad, Magdi Fikry, Hassan El Raddad, Sabry Fawaz, Haitham Ahmed Zaki and Horeya Farghali.
