Moroccan singer Abdel Fatah El Gerainy expressed his desire to remain in Egypt through this rough period the country is going through. He had previously announced that he feels in no way threatened or unsafe walking its streets, and considers Egypt his second country and still a safe haven for him. El Gerainy refused to leave the country and supervise his work from elsewhere. In a statement he made to the newspaper “Al Yoom Al Sabei” or “The Seventh Day” he stated his full support to Tahrir and the rebels over there. He believes that the Egyptian people are entitled to their freedom because they are a great nation with amazing determination. They deserve this freedom and will be able to get it. He also added that SCAF is required to abide by the demands of the revolution. Finally, El Gerainy prayed for Egypt to pass this phase safely with no more casualties, and return to its original state.
