The Saudi director Ahd Kamel meets with cinema stars in Dubai International Film Festival

The Saudi director and actress Ahd Kamel is participating in Dubai International Film Festival the eighth, where she meets with a lot of cinema stars all around the world during her first long novelistic film production of next year through her company ODD Camel Films which was established in 2007 where she does for many years, its goal is lengthening the link of communication between the cinema in America and those who are interested with this industry in the Arab world.She participated in the judge board membership of the first round of Troup Vast Arabia Festival, which was held in Abu Dhabi last November the 4th, it is the first time in Arab world for the festival which was founded twenty years ago in Australia by the Australian star John Paulson, who cares about short films that lasts no longer than 7 minutes.It is worth mentioning that she lived in the United States of America almost for 14 years, where she became the first Saudi woman who studied directing and acting there. She gained a lot of experiences from working in Hollywood, where in 2007 she participated in working with the group of the famous movie “The Kingdom” with director Peter Berg, also participated in “Razan” Turkish movie which she got the Golden Gate award for Best Actress from San Francisco Film Festival, the movie was also in Rotterdam International Film Festival. She introduced herself as a director in addition to acting in the first novelistic short film “Alguendrgi” starring Amr Waked who won several awards from Arab and international festivals, most notably Khalij Film Festival and Beirut Film Festival, also participated in the official competition of Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
