The great writer Ahmed Bahgat passed away, after struggling with the disease

After a long struggle with the disease, the great writer Ahmed Bahgat passed away today December 11th at the age of seventy nine.He was born in 1932, and began his journey with the press after receiving Licentiate of Law from Cairo University, where he worked with Today News newspaper in 1955, before moving to Good Morning newspaper, then to Al-Ahram Foundation in 1958, which he became one of its symbols and leading writers until he passed away.The Egyptians knew the great writer, best known for his irony through Fouad Al-Mohandes’ voice, with radio program “Kelmteen w bas” or “two words only”, whom was a morning friend to them for many years.In addition to that, Ahmed Bahgat became famous through religious writings, which he directed some of it to children, and quoted for his books a cartoon serial “animals stories in the Holy Qur’an”, which was displayed last Ramadan.As for his cinema mark, Bahgat wrote the screenplay of “Ayam El-Sadat” or “Days of Sadat”, which deals with the late Egyptian President, quoting from his autobiography and the biography of his wife Jehan Sadat.Last Ramadan, the great writer had fallen inside his apartment that led him to wound his head and a broken pelvis, which got him to be held in Arab Contractors Hospital and his age led to exacerbate the impact of injuries till he passed away in the end, leaving a great legacy of writings.
