“The Legend” was actor Mustafa Shabaan’s next television project; where he was absent for almost 2 years since his last television series “The Shame” or “Al Aar”. However, the project was suspended because of the current political situation in Egypt after script writer Ayman Abdel Rahman had already written 7 episodes of the series. In a statement to “Al Sherook” news paper, Dr. Adel El Maghrabi, who owns the idea of the series, said that the producing company has fears of political instability in Egypt which in turn might affect the drama sector in the market. The company chose to pause the production until the situation is not so intense and a clearer vision of the future is provided. The series “The Legend” portrays the spread of the antiques trafficking and how this specific kind of trade can enable an individual to climb up the ladder of power.
