The scenarist Shereef Helmy is currently busy working on his new series “El Ekhwa El Adaa” or “The Enemy Brothers”, which was directed previously as a movie by Hussam El Deen Mostafa in 1974. The series' idea was inspired by “The Karamazof Brothers”, that was written by the famous Russian Fiodor Dostofisky. Helmy revealed in an interview with Dar El Hayah that the series differ significantly from the former movie, since he decided to deal directly with the Russian story through adding and omitting certain characters. In order for the series to cope with the current events, the author chose to sacrifice one of the characters as a revolutionary martyr. The series is directed by Mohamed El Nokly; stared by Salah El Saadany (as the father), Fathy Abd El Wahab, Yasser Galal, Bassem Samra and Shereef Helmy (as his sons), in addition to Ola Ghanem, Dorra and Reham Abd El Ghafoor. It is expected to start shooting in the coming weeks. The series is going to be produced and exclusively presented by Panorama Drama Channel.
