Director Kamela Abu Zikri is in search for producing her new film about the abuse that the Egyptian women faced during the recent events in the Council of Ministers area.In her interview with mbc.net, Kamela felt that women's rights were ignored as the Council of Women's Rights was run by the former first lady Suzan Mubarak and her main goal was focused on good appearance for the public and not the actual fight for those rights. Kamela does not see any difference in the way women are being treated after the revolution, especially with the violence they faced by getting hit or dragged or checked for virginity! She will give the famous story of the girl dragged during the recent protests that some called her "Tahrir Girl" and she will also point to the shallow opinions of some who questioned her outfit or criticized women for participating in the protests. Kamela is ready to produce the film by herself if she doesn’t find a producer at all. She didn't come to choose the cast yet as this only happens after finding production.Kamela is getting ready to shoot a new drama series "That" for the Egyptian writer Sono Allah Ibrahim which stars Nelly Karim and wrote the script Mariam Naom.
