Tahrir Square is a stage for two films and a play celebrating the revolution anniversary.

Under the patronage of Merit Publishing house, Tahrir square will be a cinema screen for two films and a stage for a play. The first is "Tahrir 2011: Al Tayyib, Al Sharis, Al Seyasee – The Good, the Bad and the Politician" which received an invitation to be premier on the opening night of the Abu Dhabi Films Clubs on 25 Jan. The Club is holding a seminar for producer Mohamed Hefzi run by Emirati Director Naila Al Khaja to talk about this new film experience. This film will be also showing on Al Nahar Satellite channel on 24 Jan for its first time on TV.The second is "Microphone" directed by Ahmed Abdullah which talks about the difficulties that Rock 'n roll and Rap bands face. The film focuses on the regular issues and obstacles they face and crashes their hopes and dreams.On the other hand, on 27 Jan the theatre in Tahrir will be welcoming a Palestinian play from Heifa : "Julius Fawq Al Obwat" for Director Overa Hining and Palestinian actors Khalifa Natour and Yousef Abu Wardeh.
