Four years later, a dark “4th Mummy” returns!It was four years ago when “The Mummy” returned for its third and last time, but Universal Studios decided to produce a fourth part which they described as “dark”.The sequel plan for “The Mummy” will be written by Jon Spaihts whose new film “Prometheus” with director Ridely Scott is to be released soon. Spaihts said the fourth part will have new events not related to the trilogy and will have a new cast as well. “The Mummy” trilogy that starred Brendan Fraser was released in 1999 has grossed more than one billion dollars worldwide.
