The great author Mohamed El-Bosaty is prepping to have liver cancer operation today Sunday 22 April. El-Bosaty will stay for three days in the hospital for recovery according to Ahram online.Since the author’s health has deteriorated lately because of this disease; his close friends from the cultural society has tried to issue a permit to treat him on the country’s expense. El-Bosaty refused this completely as he always had a stand against the former Minister of Culture, Farouq Hosni. Some believe that El-Bosaty never received the State Award for recognition in literature due to this dispute. Two of El-Bostay’s novels have been adapted to the silver screen and they are “Al Sharaf” in 1999 and “Khareef Adam” in 2002 where he co-wrote the script for them.
