Robert Downey Jr. hinted that he may not be appearing as Iron Man again after the 3rd part, set for release May 2013.After the premiere of "The Avengers", in which he appears in the same character, he said it is more than enough to appear 4 times with the same character, and all kids already have associated him with the character. He said that even though the series is very successful, profitable and tempts anyone to go through with it, a good actor should know when to stop.Kevin Feige, director of Marvel Studios, stated that in case Robert Downey Jr. really stops, he would make the series like James Bond films where different actors appear for the role.He stated the example of "Hulk", the character that was taken over by Mark Ruffalo after Edward Norton's departure, as no one asked about the actor because the character is what matters.
