The 1st Saudi Film Festival launches today.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing a one of a kind event today which is the launch of the 1st Saudi Film Festival. The festival which is taking place on 14 days is sponsored by Rotana for Audio & Visual that is also screening the participating films on its new dedicated channel for films only which is Rotana Aflam.This is considered the biggest participation ever for Saudi Films in one festival, where over 100 films are competing in four categories: 5 in Long Feature Films, 70 in Short Films, 19 in Documentaries and 8 in Animations.The festival organizing committee have chosen the jury that consists of Dr. Abdel Elah Al Sanany, author Abdoh Khal and director Haifaa Al Mansour.
