Tyche Festival in Jordan to Honor Egyptian Actress Samiha Ayoub

The Tyche Festival will be honoring a number of Arab actresses who have made invaluable contributions to the arts and the cinematic legacy of the Arab world. One of these women is Egyptian actor Samiha Ayoub. The celebration, hosted at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre on the morning of November 9, will be broadcasted on Rotana’s Jordanian satellite music channel. Samiha Ayoub will be recognized alongside other Arab luminaries such as Juliette Awad of Jordan, Saada Abdallah of Kuwait, and Muna Wasef of Syria. This season, the Tyche Festival will be giving away 17 awards, 11 of which will be decided by jury committees comprised of Arab intellectuals, journalists and artists. These awards are: Best Comedy Series, Best Historical Series, Best Drama Series, Best Arab Actor, Best Arab Actress, Best Arab Director, Best Arab Screenwriter, Best Male Jordanian Singer of 2012, Best Female Jordanian Singer of 2012, Best Male Album of 2012, and Best Female Album of 2012.
