Katy Perry "proud" with ex-husband Russell Brand for scoring ten sober years.

According to The Sun; singer KatyPerry emailed her ex-husband comedian Russell Brand for celebrating ten yearssober and free from drugs.

Brand had previously celebrated histen years anniversary and tweeted how grateful he is for everyone whocongratulated him. He sent a message of hope for all addicts who are trying toget clean from drugs and assured them they will get there someday.

Close sources from Perry say thatshe and Brand are still in touch even though they broke up last December aftera fourteen month marriage, and that she is now with John Mayer. Perry is proudwith Brand's achievement and she wanted to send him this message to deliver herfeelings of pride and happiness.
