Pictures: Helen Mirren gets her Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

The 2,488th star on the Hollywood Walkof Fame went to 67 year old British actress Dame Helen Mirren who received itlast Thursday. At the honoring ceremony; "The Queen" was accompaniedby her husband director Taylor Hackford, his two sons Reo and Alex next todirector David Mamet and director John Turtletaub whom she made many films withboth of them.

The Oscar winner for portraying Britain'sQueen Elizabeth in "The Queen" expressed her happiness with the starin her speech during the ceremony and added that she is extremely honored. DameMirren joked about how nice it is to have her star placed near to "TheKing's Speech"'s actor Colin Firth star who received it in 2011 and thatshe always wished for it.

After all, to receive this star at thebeginning of 2013 should make it an excellent year for Dame Mirren.
