Classy broad and best actress nominee for " Zero Dark Thirty" Jessica Chastain is in the running to play the damsel in distress, Jane, in the upcoming "Tarzan" remake. The busy actress, 35, is currently in negotiations with Warner Bros, according to the New York Post. "Harry Potter" director David Yates will be helming the project.

And who will be her chest-thumping, vine-swinging co-star, you ask? The very handsome, very Scandinavian Alex Skarsgard. In the remake, Tarzan has fully assimilated to a more urbanite existence in London, but is commissioned by the Queen to return to the jungle to assist in some sort of conflict. Samuel L. Jackson is also rumored to be involved.

Chastain was the obvious runner-up to Jennifer Lawrence for the best actress Oscar last month. Lawrence, 22, won the coveted award though, along with most of the other major film awards this year for "Silver Linings Playbook."
