"Al Khorouj Lil Nahar" launches the 9th Picture's Meet Festival

The 9th edition of the Picture'sMeet Festival held at the French Cultural Center was opened by the long featurefilm "Al Khorouj Lil Nahar" (Going Out to Day Light) which is thedebut for director Hala Lotfi.

The film has participated in many festival andwas honored for its good artistic level and won Al Wahar Golden Award as BestLong Feature Film in Wahran Arabic Film Festival in its sixth edition.

"Al Khorouj Lil Nahar" takes placein a small district in the streets of Cairo about a handicapped father, aworking mother and a daughter who faces problems in expressing her feelings anddreams. Once the girl turns thirty and still single, she has nothing else to dobut care for her father.

Picture's Meet Festival aims to supportindividual cinema and young filmmakers and continues until 15 April. DirectorAhmed Abdallah is presiding the judging committee that consists of script writerMariam Naom and director Ahmed Fawzi Saleh.
