Just right after amending theprogram’s rules last week, by allowing three contestants to participate in thefinale rather than two, Moroccan Mohamed Al Rifi won the title of The X Factorin its first season in the Middle East.

Al Rifi, trained by Hussein AlJassmi, had to go through a very tough competition between Jordanian AdhamNabelsi and Lebia Ibrahim Abdel Azim where he won fair and square.

It was a very tough moment for AlRifi when Nabelsi received the least number of votes and was out of thecompetition as he burst into tears after this result that made Al Jassmi go upthe stage to calm him down.

Al Rifi, once announced the winner, who was in another, yet happier shock, that he forgot lyrics for the song hewas singing where the judges called out for the rest of the contestants to comeup stage and congratulate him.

It is worth mentioning that Rotanafor Audio and Visual will produce Al Rifi’s first album with Pepsi and Sony.
