According to a little birdie (i.e. Deadline), "Hunger Games" director Francis Lawrence is in the process of courting Julianne Moore for the third installment of the hugely popular dystopian teen series, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay." The director is allegedly hoping she'll play Alma Coin, who makes her first appearance in the third book, penned by Suzanne Collins.

Lawrence has already made huge coups for the cast of the second film, the greatest of which is chameleon and Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, who'll be playing Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Jennifer Lawrence will be returning, as will Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland. "Catching Fire" comes out on November 22, 2013. "Mockingjay," the third installment, will be released in two films at the end of 2014. If Moore is cast as Alma, she'll appear in both parts.
