The writing trio of Ahmed Fahmy, Hesham Maged and Shiko have decided to delay shooting the final scenes of their Ramadan show "Ragel el Enab" (The Jujube Man) due to the June 30 protests aimed at unseating President Mohamed Morsi and bringing about early presidential elections.

According to director Shady Aly, all that's left is two days of shooting, after which will follow editing, mixing and graphics on the final episodes, until they submit the finished work to the channels set to air the show this month.

The science-fiction, fantasy show revolves around a mad scientist whose friends call him the Jujube man. He by chance discovers a concoction that can transform people into supernatural beings. He tries to help people with it, but the government discovers his activity and tries to have him arrested. In the midst of his manhunt, Egypt undergoes a major disaster (not hard to imagine), which causes the Egyptian government to seek out the scientist for his help, rather than his capture.

The show stars Salah Abdallah, Entesar, Samy Maghawry, and Inas Ezz El Din.
