" Ana wel Assal" host Nishan interviewed media figure Basma Wahba on last night's episode, and the two covered a range of topics from her struggle with cancer, physical and medical health to wigs.

When Nishan asked if Basma ever considered her cancer to be a punishment for removing her veil, a decision she took a number of years ago, she said she rejected that idea and never thought about it that way. She saw her illness as a trial from God, a test of her faith. She mentioned throughout the interview that the power that God had given her was the reason for her recovery. Speaking from hard-learned experience, she also encouraged men and women to get regular medical check-ups, as catching cancer at an early stage can make a huge difference.

Basma admitted that one of her more difficult moments was when she lost all of her hair, and eyebrows, to chemotherapy. Nishan didn't hesitate to prompt his guest to remove her wig, which she declined, saying she enjoyed the hair after 9 months of having her "femininity taken away" from her.

Wahba also expressed gratitude for those who supported her, noting that Asala was the first star to stand beside her, as well as Nadia el Gindy, Mirvat Amen, Dalal Abdel Aziz, Ragaa El Gedawi, Ghada Ragaband Mohamed Fouad, among others.

Nishan's ever-entertaining show will next host Emirati star Ahlam.
