Basma Wahba to Host Show, First Guest: Mohamed Mounir

Basma Wahba has signed on to host a program called "Basmetna El Leila" which will begin airing at the beginning of the new year. Hardest working man in the Arab music industry, Mohamed Mounir, has been chosen as the first guest on the show, with Basma saying he's closest to her heart among Arab singers. A huge number of stars have also agreed to come on the show, according to Basma's statement to .

These individuals include Angham, Angham, Angham, Saber el Rebai, Nancy Ajram and Asala. Basma didn't say, however, which channel it would air on, but affirmed that it was "the greatest satellite channel in the Arab world."

The program was originally scheduled for Ramadan 2013, but was delayed due to Wahba's battle with cancer. She was in treatment for nine months, during which she rejected the idea of doing the show, as she would have to don fake hair and fake eyelashes for each taping. The producer promised her he would wait until she recovered.
