Mai Ezz Eldin Talks Sister's Illness, Calls Mohamed Sobky a Father

Mai Ezz Eldin talked about her new show “El shak” (suspicion). She stressed that she's very happy that she played this role especially that it's her first time to play an evil girl role. May also noted that a lot of people around her expressed their surprise with the role but she's happy with it, arguing that she was confined to the romantic rich girl role and her new one is allowing her to discover new areas in acting that she never tried before.

May Praised the producer of the show Mahmoud Shams confirming that he played a major role in getting together this big number of stars, Also praised the ability of the director Mohamed Nukaly to manage the group while keeping a spirit of intimacy between all the working group. She also said that she's very pleased to work with the stars Raghda and Hussein Fahmy, for whom she sang on air “Ya Wad ya Teill.”

During the interview, May spoke about her relationship with her sister Heba, noting that she's the daughter of her stepmother but they were brought up together since their childhood. That's before she starts to cry because of her sister's sickness. Her sister than called into the show, talking on air with May and Nishan and expressing her deep love and appreciation to May. She added jokingly “now everyone in the Arab world knows I'm sick.” Producer Mohamed El Sobky also called the show expressing his appreciation to May and revealing about a new movie they're planning to work on after Eid. That's when May called him father.

May refused to talk about politics, saying that there are three subjects she doesn't like to talk about: politics, religion and sports, adding that her reluctance to talk about politics is due to the fact that no one respects others’ opinions anymore.

May talked about her relationship with her ex-fiancé the soccer player Mohamed Zidan. She confirmed that they're good friends now, pointing also that he was the love of her life and that their breakup was not due to him being in a relationship with another woman but due to arguments that became more frequent at the end of their relationship. May also denied the existence of a love affair with Tamer Hosni, affirming that they have totally different personalities.
