Christian Bale, 39, is displaying an incredible amount of restraint and artistic integrity, as he's reportedly turned down a $50 million offer from Warner Bros. to resume his role as Bruce Wayne in " Batman Vs. Superman" opposite Henry Cavill. The production house's forthcoming sequel to "Man of Steel" will position the two superheroes in an epic stand off.

Bale told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year he wouldn't be reprising his role in "Justice League," saying, "we were incredibly fortunate to get to make three [Batman films]. That's enough. Let's not get greedy."

A source also said that Bale is under "extraordinary pressure" to take the role. Other leading men Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Orlando Bloom are also being considered for the movie, which is expected for a 2015 release.
