“The Good Road” to Represent India at the Oscars

India has picked “The Good Road” as its official representer in the Best Forign Film category at next year's Oscars.

The movie shows the real india from a perspective of a family that looses its son during a holiday trip to Kutch and then finds him again. It's directed by Gyan Correa and produced by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).

The film competed with other 22 entries for consideration to Oscar nominations. Jury had a five hours discussion before selecting “The Good Road,” Said Gautam Ghosh, chairman of Oscar selection committee.

Shortlisted for the nominations were films like “The Lunchbox,” “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” and “Vishwaroopam.”
