Egyptians' Top Searched on Google in 2013

Google published their 2013's mostsearched words for each country known as Google Zeitgeist. For Egypt'most trending people searched on Google, the list included presenter Bassem Youssef, Armenian belly dancer Safinar and Arab Idol winnersMohamed Gamal and Mohamed Assaf.

As for politicians, Oustedpresident Mohamed Hosni Mubarak topped the list followed by Oustedpresident Mohamed Morsi and General Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi who camethird. The list also included Muslim Brotherhood deputy chairmanKhariat El-Shater, Interim President Adly Mansour and MohamedElBaradei.

The most searchedfor events in 2013 are: Tamarod movement (Rebel), Mohamed Morsi trialand El-Sisi’s speech. The list also included the Murder of soldiersin Rafah, Sinai operations and Mubarak's trial also known as thetrial of the century.

Bassem Youssef'sshow “Al Barnameg” was categorized as TV Series topping the listof the searched series followed by “Mazag Al Kheir,” “Al Shak”and “Hekayet Hayah.”

The top searchedmovies were “ Oblivion,” Rasael Hob” and “Al Kashah.” Thelist also included “Iron Man,” “Man of Steel” and “EvilDead.”

The mostimportant sources of news for Egyptians as shown by the top searched listare: “Al Youm Al Sabe',” “Al Dostour,” “Al Shorouq” and“Al Masry AlYoum.” The top ten list also included “Al Hayah”and MBC network.
