After the huge success of “ Django Unchained,” it seems like the famed director wants to go on playingwith Westerns, something he said he would do. The script is titled“ The Hateful Eight” which suggests a play off on the title ofJohn Sturges'1960 film “ The Magnificent Seven,” which in turn was aremake of Akira Kurosawa's1954 Seven Samurai.

Except for the part written for Christoph Waltz, who starred in Tarantino's “Django Unchained”and “ Inglorious Basterds,” no one has been cast yet but veterancasting director Victoria Thomas has been reached for to help withthe casting.

No timetable is declared althoughinsiders say the filmmaker wishes to start shooting in summer. Alsono production or distribution company is involved but most likelyit's going to be The Weinstein Co.

"I had so much fun doing Django, and I love Westerns so much that after I taught myself how tomake one, it's like 'OK! Let me make another one now that I know whatI'm doing,' " Tarantino told JayLeno in November. Well, we'll see.
