Director Amr Salama thanked Ahmed Awad, chariman of the Egyptian censorship board, for the release of his new film La Moa'khza (Excuse my French) without the deletion of any of its scenes, and permitting of the film's release on his personal responsibility without a single remark.

Salama, who is celebrating the positive reception of the film in Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival and its wide release yesterday, wrote: “You watching the film exactly the way I want it, has happened thanks to many helpful people, on top of whom is Ahmed Awad, who didn't have a single remark, and approved the film reliably without any intervention”

Amr added: “I wish this continues with the films of my peers in the future, and the rules should change and censorship should only use real age rating.”

The makers of the film have celebrated its special screening yesterday in Mall of Arabia's theater, with the presence of a large number of celebrities and artists. After the screening, Amr said “The feedback made me feel that this job is worth all of its suffering”

La Moa'khza was written and directed by Amr Salama, and stars Kinda Alloush, Hany Adel, and Ahmed Dash, and was produced by Mohamed Hefzy's Film Clinic.

Amr Salama had a long war with the former censorship board which was lead by Sayed Khattab, as he claimed that the film would increase sectarian struggle.
