The Serbian Film “Withering” Wins Top Prize in Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival

The Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival has concluded its round yesterday, after announcing the award winners who participated in the event from 19 till the 25th of this month.

The Serbian film “Withering” by Milos Pusic won the Golden Djed Pillar for best feature film, while the Silver Djed Pillar went to the Greek film “The Enemy Within” by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos. The Georgian "In Bloom,” the debut feature of its director Nana Ekvtimishvili won the Bronze Djed Pillar.

The German short “Rhino Full Throttle” by Erik Schmitt won the Golden Djed Pillar for best short, followed by a Silver Djed Pillar for the Egyptian film “Farda Shmal” (Left Shoe) by Sarah Rozeik.

The festival opened with the screening of the Egyptian film “ La Moa'khza” (Excuse My French), and it honored actor Nour El Sherif and the Russian director Vladimir Menshov.
