Watch: Mohamed Mahran: “Asrar Aa'eleya” doesn't harm common decency... and presents an important topic

's crew met with young actor Mohamed Mahran, who made his first appearance in the new film “ Asrar Aa'eleya” (Family Secrets), which stirred a lot of controversy before its theatrical release.

Mahran pointed out that he didn't have any worries concerning playing the role of a homosexual, specially when the film offers a solution to the topic, and he confirmed that the film doesn't contain any explicit scenes, and doesn't harm common decency, and that it presents people with a problem any family can suffer.

Mahran considered the film's discussion of the homosexuality topic to be a breakthrough achievement that will be long remembered for the film's whole crew and for him in person, being the first Egyptian actor to depict a homosexual character that extensively.

Mahran also talked about how he got the role, and how he prepared for it, and about his new role in the TV series “Oloub” (Hearts) with Ola Ghanem.
