Director and actor Woody Allen has commented on the open letter that was posted by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow in the New York Times, in which she accused him of sexually abusing her twenty years ago, when she was seven years old.

Allen said that the claims were “untrue and disgraceful,” urging the people to remember that “there was no credible evidence of molestation; that Dylan Farrow had an inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality; and that Dylan Farrow had likely been coached by her mother, Mia Farrow.

Farrow's open letter appeared after the recent Hollywood celebration of the 78-year-old filmmaker, for his Cate Blanchett starred Blue Jasmine. Farrow criticized the praise, saying that she can't believe Allen is honored like that after he has caused her a psychological scar. She also urged other actors and celebrities to support her.
