The Great Beauty Titled Best Foreign Film at Baftas

The Italian film The Great Beauty Won the BAFTA for the Best Film not in the English Language, in the British Academy Film awards ceremony yesterday, after competing with The Act of Killing, Blue is the Warmest Color, Metro Manilaand Wadjda.

Gravity won its fifth prize of the night, with a best special visual effects award, while the best adapted screenplay title went to the British film Philomena, and best original screenplay went to American Hustle, to wrap the night with three prizes, after it won for best supporting actress and best make-up and hair.

Will Poulter was handed the EE Rising Star Award, a prise given based on audience voting, and for which Poulter competed with Dane DeHaan, George Mackay, Lupita Nyong'o and Léa Seydoux.
