After the most-talked-about couple in the world have made it to the cover of Vogue magazine, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have earned themselves an inevitable sarcastic backlash that started immediately on social media.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer's star Sarah Michelle Gellar was one of the first to take aim at the couple, and the magazine, by tweeting: “Well......I guess I'm canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???”

James Franco and Seth Rogen followed up their spoof of Kanye West's music video “Bound 2” last November, with a photoshopped version of the Vogue cover with their faces instead of Kim and Kanye's. Franco the groom, Rogen the bride.

Defending her decision, Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour said: ““Kanye is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur, while Kim, through her strength of character, has created a place for herself in the glare of the world’s spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that.”
