Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Split

In a shocking open letter to her fans on her website, Gwyneth Paltrow announced her break-up with her husband Chris Martin.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate" – wrote the couple, who were married for eleven years.

They mentioned that they are keen on preserving their family, and that they are aware of their foremost role as parents to their two children. They also requested that their space and privacy be respected by the readers, and off course, the media.
