Idris Elba Welcomes New Baby

British actor Idris Elbawelcomed the birth of his second child last Thursday, a son named Winston. The proud father revealed the happy news of his son’s birth on Twitter by sharing a photo of the tiny baby’s hand grasping Elba's finger.

Elba, 41, chose to name the baby Winston in honor of his late father, who died last September after a long battle with Cancer. Winston is the first child between Elba and his girlfriend Naiyana Garth, though he also has a daughter, Isan, from a previous relationship.

Elba portrayed Nelson Mandela in the historical drama Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom based on the life and struggle of South Africa’s first democratically elected president.
