Actor Andrew Garfield, the new leading star of The Amazing Spiderman, believes that being famous at a young age can be dangerous. If he had been famous earlier in his life, Garfield admits, he probably would have ended up in jail.

Garfield, who is 30, said that he is grateful that he did not become a celebrity until his late 20s, and he is certain that if he had achieved his fame as a teenager it would have ruined his life.

Commenting on the young Canadian superstar Justin Bieber, Garfield explained that he feels sorry for Bieber. In Garfield’s opinion, Bieber has been a victim of his own fame; it is unnatural for a 16-year-old to have millions of dollars and a brand new Ferrari, said Garfield, not to mention the ability to get anything else he could ever want.
