Hana Shiha Comments on “El Sabaa' Wasaya” Opening Credits Controversy

Hana Shiha will be finishing her last scenes in the series “ El Sabaa' Wasaya” (The Seven Commandments) by mid-Ramadan. Shooting is currently taking place in Almoslamy studio, under the orchestration of director Khaled Mara'y. The cast includes Rania Youssef, Ayten Amer, Haytham Zaki, Sabry Fawaz, Sawsan Badr and Nahed Elsebaei.

Shiha expressed her happiness after the positive feedback she received and observed from audience and critics, mentioning that the cast and crew have were being very meticulous during filming so that the series would come out with the desired quality.

About the series' opening credits song, which stirred controversy over being incomprehensible, Shiha said that audience are not used to such type of Sufi chanting, and that the lyrics being made-up solely of Sufi poetry written in classical Arabic is unconventionally attractive and catchy, and considered it a new and avant-guard approach to opening credits in Egyptian drama.
