Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter Separate After 13 Years

After a 13-year-long romance, director Tim Burton and his muse and actress Helena Bonham Carter have called it quits.

Their rep has stated that the couple are keen on maintaining their friendship and taking care of their children equally, and that they have separated on good terms earlier this year. They also requested that the media respect their privacy.

The duo's relationship started in 2001 after their collaboration on the set of Planet of the Apes, which was directed by Burton, before working together again on “Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dark Shadows”.

The separated couple have been living together for 13 years and have two kids, Billy, 11 and Neil, 7.
