It seems that George Clooney's wife, the British lawyer of Lebanese descent Amal Alamuddin, has become a nuisance to Egyptian authorities, which recently threatened to arrest her, after she exposed defects in the Egyptian judiciary system, according to the Guardian's website.

Alleged causes for the political threatening are what Alamuddin had to say about the sentence decreed against Al Jazeera journalists and how they fell victims to the questionable credibility of the Egyptian jurisdiction, in a report she issued in February of 2014.

Alamuddin, who is defending on of the three journalists, claims that she was prevented from issuing the report inside Egypt by the Egyptian government, who in turn have described the report as “controversial”.
