Faten Hamama Cinema Closed, Put Up For Sale

On the 31st of January, Faten Hamama movie theater in Manial was officially closed, after the duration of the contract signed by the Arab Company For Production and Distribution to rent the place ended.

The owners of the theater, which most recently was screening Amr Saad's “ Regatta”, posted an advertisement on the facade of the building, offering it for sale, according to Alyoum Alsabeaa' newspaper website.

The late former minister of culture Mohamed Radwan was the one who named the theater after Faten Hamama in 1984. Back then, the theater was owned and controlled by the government.
