The house of Abu Elias is sold to a Jewish settler, and they have a week to evacuate it. Abdul Qadir Al-Husseiny dies a martyr. The Deir Yassin massacre takes place. Sa'eed gets angry because of the vandalism of his car.

Sa'eed and Sabry are arrested because of the seizure of stolen goods from the British. Sa'eed is released from prison, and the Zionists seize the city of Tiberias.

A Jew bargains with Mazen’s father in order to buy the garage from him in exchange for releasing Mazen from prison. The residents decide to gather to confront the Zionist Haganah gangs.

Qasim finally decides to hold his postponed wedding ceremony. After the British withdraw from Haifa, the Haganah gangs attack it, as they displace the Palestinians from their homes and take control of the city. Ziad dies during the attack.

As the residents become homeless, Qasim decides to take revenge for what the Haganah gangs have done and attack their headquarters. Mazen gets out of prison. Sa'eed tries in vain to return to bring his infant son from the city.

Sa'eed and his wife end up in Acre. Mazen tries to return to his home, but it has become inhabited by a Jewish settler. Qasim ends up wounded in the home of Sarah, the Arab Jew.

Sarah asks Qasim to stay until his wounds are healed. Qasim's infant son lands in the custody of the Jewish settlers Efrat and Miriam who raise him. Sarah decides to go to the Israeli authorities to find out about Sa'eed's son.

Efrat and Miriam agree on a new name for the child and decide to obtain a new birth certificate for him. A volunteer tries to help Sa'eed and his wife. Mazen stays with an Egyptian Jewish girl named Shulamit. Sarah is being investigated by the authorities.

Efrat and Miriam obtain a new birth certificate for the child with his new name: Dov. Laila, Qasim's fiancée, tries to find out what happened to him after the invasion of Haifa and decides to go there, then tries to return to Al-Tira again.

The Zionist gangs are heading to attack Al-Tira. The officer comes to accompany Sa'eed and Safia to Haifa to inquire about their son. As Sa'eed isn't there, Safia decides to go alone. The Israeli soldiers refuse to let Safia enter Haifa.

Laila wants to leave the house to return to her city. After Mazen fails to regain his father's garage, he kills the owner of the garage. Shulamit asks Mazen to marry her in case her husband doesn't return.

When Qasim goes to his old apartment, he finds Shulamit there. The investigations with Sarah continue. Safia is offered to stay in Daifa's house instead of living in the camp. Sa'eed returns after an absence. Qasim tries to search for Mazen. Safia tells Sa'eed that she is pregnant.

Qasim decides to resume the armed resistance and tries to obtain a weapon. A new attack takes place on the camp in which Safia lives with Sa'eed. Qasim arrives at the house of the married couple who have Sa'eed's son.

Sa'eed tries to search for Safia, who is trying to reach Haifa, without success, and she's found in the woods. The Israeli officer in charge decides to return the child to his family and informs Sarah of this. Qasim realizes that they were lying at first, and that this is just a bait.

The agency hands the child to Sarah to send him to his parents. Qasim tries to find a way to get the child out of Haifa after he kidnapped him from Sarah. As Miriam tries to find out the fate of the child, the smuggling of the child outside Haifa fails.

As Qasim tries to flee, he is arrested by the Israeli authorities, and is severely tortured in order to tell them the information he knows. Sa'eed and Safia move to a new camp.

Safia gives birth to her second son on the way to Jalazoun camp. She meets Laila for the first time since the events. Sa'eed decides to move on with his life and search for work.

When Sa'eed and Safia find out that their son Khaldoun is with a Jewish family in Haifa, they try to send him a message with the Red Cross. Eight years pass without any hope of Khaldoun's return.

Fares decides to travel to Kuwait and everyone warns him not to travel. Sa'eed tries to convince Laila to marry Fares to prevent him from traveling, and she agrees after a long hesitation. Sa'eed, Safia, and their children grow old.

Abu Mazen (Mazen's father) loses his eyesight due to illness. The children of Sa'eed ask about what happened to their brother Khaldoun on the night of the deportation. Fares still wants to travel to Kuwait. War breaks out between Egypt and Israel.

Abu Mazen dies on the way to Jordan. Safia decides to try to see her son in Haifa. Khaled decides to join the Palestinian resistance. It's revealed that Qasim is still alive and well.

Finale

After 20 years of absence, Qasim and Laila finally reunite. As Sa'eed decides to accompany Safia in a last attempt to visit Khaldoun, they finally succeed in meeting Efrat and Miriam, only to discover that their son has joined the Israeli army.
