Khaled returns to Alexandria after being away in the US to work things out with his beloved and his father. But he finds his love is about to travel and his relationship with his father has reached a dead end. He stumbles upon a group of young people with their own style and he gets mixed up in this new world.

This title assumes as its setting a cheerful air, alive with music and social festivity. Khaled is a resident of Alexandria, however he leaves his home behind and spends a good number of years away in the United States. He later returns to Alexandria and at first he can’t understand how his native city has changed so much while he was away. Khaled tries to mend ties with his father and to revive his relationship with his former lover only to learn that his efforts are in vain as his previous love is on the verge of leaving Alexandria herself while his relationship with his father has reached a point from which progress seems impossible. Whilst walking the streets of Alexandria Khaled meets other youths that enjoy singing. Some sing hip hop on the sidewalks while others play rock & roll on the rooftops of old buildings. Still others draw graffiti on the walls facing streets and alleys. It’s not long before the story of those youths intertwines with Khaled’s and thus he discovers himself once again through the world of art and music.
